A Solid Step Forward – Cam Lam – Vinh Hao Expressway Opens Up a Promising Future
The North-South expressway is divided into 3 component projects passing through Binh Thuan province, including:
Component Project 1: Cam Lam – Vinh Hao
Component Project 2: Vinh Hao – Phan Thiet
Component Project 3: Phan Thiet – Dau Giay
Invested through the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, the North-South Cam Lam – Vinh Hao expressway marks a significant milestone in Vietnam’s road transportation system. With a length of 78.5km, this route offers various outstanding features, serving as a crucial lever for the economic and tourism development of the South Central provinces.
Project Details:
This project has a total investment capital of over VND 8.9 trillion, showcasing the strong commitment of the Deo Ca Group – Company 194 Consortium. The construction consortium includes the Deo Ca Group, Deo Ca Construction Joint Stock Company, and Construction Investment Corporation 194 Joint Stock Company. The construction period spans from September 2021 to April 2024, aiming to deliver a modern, safe, and convenient transportation system.
The Special Road Section:
The Cam Lam – Vinh Hao expressway stands out with the 2,200m-long Vung Mountain tunnel, becoming the longest road tunnel among the six mountain tunnels in the project to construct several highway sections on the East-North route in the 2017-2020 period. This promises to reduce travel time and enhance road safety.
Upon completion, the road will connect Ho Chi Minh City and Khanh Hoa, relieving traffic pressure on National Highway 1. The estimated travel time from Ho Chi Minh City to Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa) is expected to significantly decrease, taking just over 4 hours instead of the current over 8 hours. This not only facilitates tourism but also stimulates economic development in the region.
